Primary Unit students gain experience in a wide variety of mediums, gradually work on longer projects, and are encouraged to explore ideas and take pleasure in the process. Art projects often coordinate with a theme, incorporating content and process at an appropriate level. For example, during the all school theme of “Earth Day Every Day,” students combined recycled bottles, cardboard, and other materials with papier mache to construct an animal of their choosing.
