WelcomeAfter students graduate from The Philadelphia School, they remain, as alumni, a very important part of the TPS community. We encourage and expect our alumni to come back to school often––teachers and staff are eager to see them and to hear their news. Alumni, stop by for an informal visit and take part in alumni events to reconnect with old friends and former teachers and reminisce about your time at TPS. We'd love you to teach a mini-course, share your expertise in the classroom, or bring your band or a cappella group to perform! You are always welcome at the school! Three alumn––Michael Berman '84, Zach Klehr '92, and Darren Spielman '86––currently serve on our Board of Trustees. If you are interested in helping to strengthen our alumni initiatives, please contact Lois West, Director of Alumni Relations. Alumni Events: • Get-together for TPS Alumni in New York City: We had a TPS reunion in New York City on Thursday, February 4, at Swift, an Irish bar located at 34 E. 4th Street between Lafayette and Bowery. It as great seeing so many alums there. • TPS High School Reunion: In January about 70 TPS alumni who are currently in high school came by after school for pizza, a cappella, and a home girls bsketball game. • Homecoming: The day after Thanksgiving is the traditional day for alumni college-aged and older to get together. This year more than 50 alumni, including several celebrating their 25th reunion, gathered together at Marathon Grill. • And Let's Not Forget Our Alumni Parents: Our alums have all had reunion opportunities, so why not alumni parents. On Sunday, March 14, fmore than 100 alumni parents and former teachers spent the afternoon at TPS. It was a great opportunity to catch up with each other, find out what kids are doing, and reminisce. |
