Athletics

The Interscholastic Sports Program is open to all Middle School students. Most sports have A and B teams. Each February, The Philadelphia School hosts the TPS Invitational Basketball Tournament, two days of competive play for several boys' and girls' Middle School teams in the Philadelphia region.

There are three seasons:

• fall (coed soccer, girls’ volleyball)
• winter (boys’ and girls’ basketball)
• spring (coed track and field, coed tennis)

Students are expected to attend practices and games. Most sports have preseason practices. Students may not participate if the school does not have a recent physical examination form on file. (Athletic Director: Terry McConnell)
