Alumnus Named Simons Investigator

Congratulations to alum Daniel Spielman '84, professor of computer science and applied mathematics at Yale University, for being named to the inaugural class of Simons Investigators. This award, from the Simons Foundation, will provide Dan and Yale's Department of Computer Science $660,000 over five years; the goal of the Investigators Program is “to provide a stable base of support for outstanding scientists in their most productive years, enabling them to undertake long-term study of fundamental questions.”
