Planning for the Future

There is much to celebrate and treasure from The Philadelphia School's earliest days as an independent school in Center City.  Our founders’ goal to create a vibrant, learning community – a City Country Classroom – has remained at the center of our planning.  With renewed commitment to our school’s mission, we are well poised to move the school to its next stage of growth.

The Philadelphia School, in service to our mission and to the goals of our Strategic Plan, has several projects in the planning stages that will improve the facilities of the school, enhance the curriculum we offer, make our communications more effective and efficient, and provide additional programming to meet the needs of our families.

Our Strategic Plan – The Enduring Vision: City Country Classroom – is the result of a four-month process led by 32 members of our extended school community and grounded in recommendations and comments from more than 500 survey respondents.  The plan outlines exciting paths for The Philadelphia School.

The Philadelphia School community – from our founders to our principal emerita to our alumni to our teachers to the parents of our youngest preschoolers––looks forward with innovative spirit and creative dreaming as we strengthen TPS to meet the strategic issues of the 21st Century.
