Application Process
TPS welcomes applications for students in all grades. We are so pleased that you are considering a TPS education for your child. Our process varies depending on the grade your child will be entering so be sure to read below about the required steps for your application.
Preschool - Grade 1
The first step in our application process is creating an account for our Admissions Portal and submitting an Initial Application. Once you submit your application and the $60 application fee, you will be given access to the Application Checklist. The checklist will provide links to information needed to complete the following application requirements. All applications received after December 1 will be considered on a rolling basis as space allows.
Please note: Preschool applicants must be 4 years old by September 1 of the year that they plan to enter school. Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by September 1.

School Tour
Parent/Guardian Meeting
We look forward to getting to know you and learning about your hopes for your child's school experience. You will meet with one of our Admissions Representatives for approximately 45 minutes. You will be able to schedule this meeting through your Admissions Portal after completing your application. These meetings can happen virtually or in-person.
School Records
While most students applying to grades Preschool - 1 do not have formal records, we ask that you complete the Request for Records Form and send it to your child's current school. They should fill out the form and return it to TPS by the last week of December for the December deadlines.
Teacher Recommendations
- We require one recommendation from a current teacher for preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade applicants. This requirement is waived for preschool and kindergarten applicants who have not yet attended school.
- Teacher Recommendation forms will be made available via the Application Checklist you will receive once your application has been completed.
Play Days
Optional: Tuition Assistance Application
TPS has a robust Tuition Assistance Program. We encourage all families who might want to be considered for Tuition Assistance at any time during their TPS career to apply for TA when they apply for Admissions. We use a third party to collect Tuition Assistance Applications
To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Please note that there is a $55 fee to submit your application.

TPS does not require any outside testing but as a first step, we invite applicants for grades 4th - 7th to schedule a virtual assessment where they will meet with someone from the Admissions Team on Zoom to complete a grade level math and literacy assessment.
Once an applicant has completed this step, they will be invited to visit a classroom for a full school day during which they will be matched with a buddy their age and will participate in a full day's schedule.
