Tuition & Affordability

TPS invites all families, current and prospective to apply for Tuition Assistance. All Tuition Assistance is allocated based on need. We do not offer any merit scholarships. We do encourage all families who might need assistance at any time throughout their time at TPS to fill out a TA application when they apply for admissions.

TPS assumes that families applying for tuition assistance are willing to make necessary, but not undue, sacrifices to be able to provide their children with a TPS education.  We believe that where applicable, both parents/guardians will attempt to contribute toward tuition.  In general, it is the school’s policy to consider all of the income and assets available to all natural or adoptive parents before making any award. 

If only one parent/guardian is legally and financially responsible for an applicant, we ask for supporting documentation before waiving the application requirement for any other parent/guardian. We also require families to disclose whether grandparents or other parties contribute financially to a student’s tuition.

TPS is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. 

Using a standard methodology, Clarity analyzes the financial data submitted by the family and recommends an Individualized Tuition (IT).  The TPS Tuition Assistance Committee uses the IT, along with other documentation and information about individual circumstances provided by the family, to determine the size of an award.  Principles of fairness, continuity and integrity will be exercised in analyzing tuition assistance applications. 

Awards are distributed according to the following priority: 

1. Children of faculty and staff  
2. Current families already receiving aid 
3. Current families that have never applied for aid but whose circumstances have changed
4. New families

Our Enrollment Office makes every effort to share Tuition Assistance information with Enrollment and Re-enrollment agreements. All families will have their Tuition Assistance awards prior to their enrollment or re-enrollment deadline.

Once a family is awarded aid, they can expect aid to continue as long as the student is enrolled, the family demonstrates need, adequate funds exist in the budget, and the family has no outstanding financial obligations to the school. We do require families to apply for Tuition Assistance every year as circumstances may change.
