Tuition assistance is awarded confidentially by the Financial Aid Committee each year. Awards are based on each family's demonstrated financial need as well as the school’s financial aid budget. For 2015-16, the school’s financial aid budget is $1.4 million.
We use School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. SSS is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. Based on the financial information you provide, SSS estimates the amount your family can contribute to educational expenses.
Although the applications are resubmitted annually, our goal is provide a similar level of support to each family year-to-year as long as their financial situation remains the same.
To access the application, go to sss.nais.org and enter the portal for parents and families. You will be given instructions for starting your application. Make sure that you note your password so that you will be able to return to your application to finish, update and/or review your application at a later date.
TPS requires you to submit the following documents along with your application: 2014 tax filings, W-2s for 2014, and the TPS Financial Aid Supplement. If have not yet completed your 2014 returns, you may submit your 2013 returns and replace them with your 2014 filings once they become available.

We assume that families applying for financial aid consider education for their children a high priority and are willing to make necessary, but not undue, sacrifices to be able to provide their children with a TPS education. To this end, we believe that both (or in some cases, all) parents will try to contribute honestly toward tuition and will seek employment, if necessary, in order to help defray school costs.
In the case of never-married, separated, or divorced parents, it is the school's policy to consider all of the income and assets available to natural or adoptive parents before making any award. In accordance with this policy, both the custodial and non-custodial parents and any spouse or partners must file the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) with the SSS through the process outlined below.
The deadline for submission is January 15th for students who are new to tuition assistance at TPS and February 3rd for students who are renewing their applications. Awards will be communicated to new students by February 15th and current families by March 1st.
