From The Lancet

Jonathan Dushoff '78 (our very first TPS alum!), an associate professor and researcher at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, is among four scientists who have published a letter in the medical journal The Lancet raising the issue that the Ebola virus may be silently immunizing large numbers of people who never fall ill or infect others.

Says Jonathan, “Although resources on the ground are scarce, now is the best time to learn more about immunity to Ebola, and the sooner we know the sooner the knowledge can be used to stop the epidemic.” (http://dailynews.mcmaster.ca/article/ebola-may-be-quietly-immunizing-many/)

Jonathan's principal area of study is the evolution/spread of infectious disease from computational, statistical, and theoretical perspectives.
