Middle School Invades Valley Forge

After reading Forge by Laurie Halse Anderson this summer, the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades took part in a day of cross-grade activities at Valley Forge National Park. There was a little bit of history, a little bit of environmental education, and a little bit of getting to know one another as members of the TPS Middle School.  

Broken into three sections, students participated in a historical scavenger hunt at the Visitor's Center, followed by physical team-building challenges and  a hike of Mount Joy which was riddled with challenge questions pertaining to Forge! There was some lively competition, but the winning team has yet to be announced...
