A Note from the Nurse's Office

As many of us have read or seen in the news, the mention of the Enterovirus in Philadelphia has been a recent topic. Enterovirus is a common virus that causes cold-like symptoms and occurs mostly in the fall season.

TPS is aware of the recent outbreak in the city and has initiated measures to maintain a healthy environment at school. We are recommending frequent hand-washing and covering coughs with elbows not hands, we are disinfecting surfaces, and we are making sure ill children are sent to the nurse's office.

The school will continue to monitor the virus and keep you informed. We appreciate your support in keeping the TPS community healthy.  Here is a flier from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to help you learn more about the virus.
