Wintry Weather Rule of Thumb: If the School District of Philadelphia is closed because of snow or other severe weather, so is TPS. This rule also applies to mid-day closings and cancellations of after school activities. (However, if the District is closed already for professional development or some other non-weather-related reason, we will coordinate our decision with those of other area schools.) In the event of an early dismissal, please email changes in dismissal to Teri Lawson as early as possible. We will not put a child on a school bus if he/she does not usually take the bus on that day; we need authorization from parents.
