Afternoon at the Banks

On Tuesday afternoon, our 8th graders - armed with gloves and large plastic bags – took a stroll along the Schuylkill Banks. Their mission was to do a clean-up to keep trash from being swept into the river during the next rainfall, but their work did not prevent them from enjoying the river view and the fall foliage.

After filling four bags with trash, the students had the opportunity to play with abandon on the swings and climbers at the park. (During lunch and recess, they generally turn this play area over to their younger schoolmates.)
