Every Wednesday, from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m., five middle schoolers have the pleasure of inviting Judith Parker, former TPS middle school teacher, back to school for the fifth year of the TPS book club! We are currently reading David Copperfield by Charles Dickens, and some of us have previously read Vanity Fair, Pride and Prejudice, The Importance of Being Earnest, Jane Eyre, and Emma with Judith.
The book club begins by making tea, talking about what we have read, and reading a small portion of the book aloud. It ends by watching part of one of the many amazing film adaptations of David Copperfield; this week we watched an adaptation from 1913! Each week we read up to 50 pages on our own and then come back to class ready to talk. We are so lucky to have Judith back at TPS every week!
