Help Make Drop off and Pick up Safer for Our Families: We are concerned about our children's safety at morning drop-off and pick-up. Please do not block intersections - children trying to cross 25th Street at the Lombard Street intersection have been almost hit by cars that have blocked the intersection and then backed up to work their way out of a tight spot. In the afternoons, if you arrive early for pick up, please pull all the way up toward Waverly Street for 1-8 pick up and toward Naudain for pre-K (it would be best if you parked a block or so away from the street, if possible) - parking mid-block creates difficult parking situations for those who come after you. If you do not personally drop off or pick up your child from school, please share this information with relatives and other caretakers who do. Additional staff will be out to monitor drop off and pick up during the next few weeks.
Student Reports: Reports for children in preschool through 5th grade were posted online yesterday. If you have any trouble accessing reports, contact Terri O'Connor at email@example.com. Please note: It appears some parents whose students are new to TPS this year, have a 01 on the end of their log in – for example, John Doe is jodoe01. While you are in the online directory, please check and update your profile. (Please note that our provider will be doing maintenance on Sunday from 9am to 4pm, and the directory will be unavailable during those hours.)
School Closed for Presidents Weekend: School is closed on Monday and Tuesday, February 16 and 17. (Tuesday is a professional development day for faculty and staff.)
Special ASEP: On Tuesday, February 17, Preschool through fifth grade students will enjoy a day learning about the science of snow, creating beaded snowflakes, and forming translucent window “snow clings.” The highlight of the day will be the construction of homemade snow globes to take home. During our physical activity time, students will play with cloth “snow balls” in the yard or gym. Choice games, indoor and outdoor activities, and a snow-related snack will be provided. Click here for the registration form.
TPSA Meeting: Don't forget to sign up for this month's program (Tuesday, Feb. 10, 6-7:30pm) on Talking to Your Child about Sex, Sexuality, and Changing Bodies. Click here for more information and to register. Only 5 child care spots are still available.
Annual Physical Exams: It's hard to believe but it's that time to start thinking about scheduling your child's annual physical exam so all required forms are here at TPS before the first day of school next fall. Children may not enter school unless all forms are in. Please make your appointments today.
February Birthday Breakfast: Save the date - February 27, 8am, Multipurpose Room.
