School Closed: Thursday and Friday, March 26 & 27, for Preschool-7th grade conferences. Please note that child care will be available during your conference. School will be closed from March 30 through April 3. Classes resume on Monday, April 6.

Fed Up: Interested in nutrition and wellness? Want to support a new neighborhood partnership? Join us this Sunday, March 22, from 2 to 4pm for a screening of the widely acclaimed documentary Fed Up. The screening, co-sponsored by TPS and the New Central Baptist Church, will take place at the church on 21st and Lombard Street. RSVP here.
Class of 2015 Yearbook Ads: For information about purchasing a congratulatory ad for your favorite 8th graders, click here. The deadline is the end of March.
The TPS Fund: Come and Give it! March 26 & 27: Come visit the Advancement Committee and TPS Fund Ambassadors tables during parent-teacher conferences. We will be ready to help you make your gift to The Philadelphia School Fund. Every gift counts; there is no gift that is too small. We will have treats, a box for you to drop of your gift, and a laptop if you want to give online. We are looking for 100% parent participation (last year we topped out at 90%!!). Come and Give it!
From the Student Council: Thank you to the TPS faculty and staff members who grew beards to help us in our winter fund raiser to help bring 3D printing to TPS. Thanks you to everyone who donated to our fund raiser - we raised just under $300. And preschool parents Leo Korein '93 and Ann Ritter have offered to donate a printer to TPS. Thank you! We can use our funds for training and maintenance. Special thanks to Mike at the Barber on 24th, who generously donated his services to shave and design the "anything goes" beards - the winning beard category! Check out the beards today!
Winter Clubs Ending: The majority of clubs have ended this week, and others will conclude next week. Please note that you must inform us of changes in dismissal plans for the interim period between winter and spring clubs. For safety reasons, we cannot assume that you want your child sent home on the bus in place of a club that has ended. Please email Teri (TLawson@tpschool.org) and Jordan (JLee@tpschool.org) with how your child should be dismissed in place of any clubs they were attending during the winter. It is also important that you review these plans with your child/children so they are aware of where to go and what to do following the school day. Thank you!

Move-up Meetings: Each spring we hold move-up meetings for parents whose children are moving from one unit to another or from one "stand-alone" grade to another. Mark your calendars for 5-6pm
- Tuesday, April 28, Parent Meeting for students entering 1st and 3rd grades
- Tuesday, May 5, Parent Meeting for students entering Kindergarten & 4th grade
- Thursday, May 7, Parent Meeting for students entering 6th, 7th, & 8th grades
