Earth Day began at TPS today with some serious talking about sustainability with Mayor Michael Nutter.
Speaking to the 7th and 8th grades, the mayor fielded questions about his administration's initiatives to address environmental challenges in the city. He also listened as 8th graders described the sustainability research projects they are each currently working on.
After his nearly hour-long session with the middle schoolers in the Garage, the mayor visited our preschoolers and kindergarteners in the Schwartz Siegel building. He was asked questions there, too; when a kindergartner asked him what his name was, he answered, "Mike."
