Last Tuesday, TPS middle school students shared collaborative projects based on the all-middle school summer reading Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie. Interpretations of the book could take the form of drama, research, illustration, modeling, or creative writing.
The mixed-grade groups, made up of students in grades 6 through 8, had worked together on their projects throughout the first weeks of school. The final presentations took place out at the Schuylkill Center. It was beautiful to be outside on such a nice day as students had the opportunity to share their work with and get to know students and teachers in all three grades of the middle school. Students were passionate about presenting their work and seeing other interpretations of the novel!
