TPS was fortunate to have the opportunity to host two visiting teachers from India this week. Ms. Prameela (on right in photo) and Ms. Donka teach language arts and math, respectively, at the Taktse International School in the Sikkim region of Northern India.
During their three days with us, they observed classes in 4th through 8th grade, met with teachers to gather and share information, and learned about the culture of TPS.
From what they shared, it sounds like the Taktse International School is much like TPS in many ways, including its small classes and emphasis on community building. We wish them luck on their continued travels along the East Coast!
Thank you, Abby Gordon and Jill Garland, for arranging and hosting this visit, which was part of a teacher exchange program administered by Swarthmore College.
