We’ve welcomed the kindergarteners to our City County Classroom this year by having a tasty harvesting tour of our garden space!
Among our finds were cucumber, okra, grapes, and….a giant zucchini! We chopped and baked zucchini and kale chips for a delicious snack enjoyed by most! We also took time to breathe deeply and develop an appreciation for the beauty around us using all five of our senses.
Kindergarteners have begun working on their Seed to Table Journals, in which they will document their journey as nature detectives and environmental stewards this year.
Ask a kindergarten friend to take you on a tour and show you his/her favorite thing to harvest.
