Spanish in the Garden

A primary goal of our early childhood Spanish program at TPS is for children to associate fun with the learning of Hispanic language and culture. When experiences are fun, they tend to be more memorable, and the children respond with being excited about learning.

The warm weather this week allowed us to take our fun outside, where some of our preschoolers enjoyed their Spanish lesson in the Early Childhood Center Garden. The students learned about Mexico, counted Mexican money, and danced to Mariachi music. They also enjoyed coloring Mexican flags that will hang in their classroom.
