To High School We Go

Each year our confident, creative, and well-prepared eighth graders navigate an important step in their educational journey – the high school admissions process. Teachers Ashley Opalka and Emily Marston counseled and supported families in determining the best school fit for each graduating student. The entire eighth grade teaching team was integral in helping students throughout the process as students prepared for applications, interviews, auditions, open houses and more.

While every year our students have gone on to attend many of the highly regarded public and private schools in the area, this year's process is distinguished by a few interesting trends.

Diversity | The public/private mix was broader than ever, including independent, public, parochial, charter, boarding, online, and single-sex schools.
Timing | Public school acceptances came earlier than ever before, which allowed families to make more informed decisions.
Choice | Every student was able to choose from multiple schools.

We are delighted to share with you more detail about the schools to which our sought-after students were accepted. Congratulations, Class of 2016!
