TPS Tigers Excel at Chess Nationals

The TPS Tigers came in 2nd out of 71 teams in the nation in the K-5 Under 900 section at the National Elementary Championship in Nashville!

Up against more than 450 competitors at the National Elementary (K-6) Championship in Nashville, Tennessee, there were four TPS individual trophy winners: Scotty J., Alex D., Evan L., and Max G. 

Scotty, who tied for 2nd and placed 4th, went undefeated with 6.5 out of 7 games! Alex D. tied for 17th and placed 26th, and Evan L. tied for 32nd. Max G. placed 18th out of 328 players in the K-3 Under 800 section, winning 5.5 out of 7 games. 

Congratulations to the full roster of TPS players, who included Jack L., Anand R., Gage P., Ben R., and  George D-D.
