This summer The Boyer College of Temple University is conducting teacher training in the Gordon Method of music instruction to young children. Dr. Edwin Gordon was, perhaps, the father most current infant/toddler music learning techniques during his time at Temple University during the 1970’s onward.
During July, the Gordon Institute of Music Learning will meet on Temple’s campus and gather some leading experts in the field to train teachers in the techniques and demonstrate methods.
Here's where TPS parents come in! GIML is inviting parent/child pairs to be part of these free demonstration classes for the experts to model teaching for the visiting teachers.
Families are invited to both provide learning experiences for parents and children, as well as to benefit the participants in teacher training.
For details, please read this letter from Temple. Note that the classes begin on July 5.
