TPS alumna Megan Lundy '04 is in Kenya, working for an NGO – Positive Life Kenya. The NGO is helping set up a Preventative Health and Wellness Clinic for women and children in the village of Mlolongo, whose community has been ravaged by HIV-AIDS.
TPS sixth graders, as well as several of Megan's former teachers, put together a package of medical supplies, children's books, school supplies, and toys for Megan to take to Kenya with her.
Here is a link to Megan's blog. We hope that Megan, who is finishing up her third year of medical school at Thomas Jefferson University, will come to TPS upon her return to Kenya to talk to students about her work there.
