Here are some photos from this morning's Family Circle activities. It is always a delight to watch our children work together. These mixed-age activities allow our older students' kindness, patience, and sense of fun shine through as they work with their younger Family Group members.
At the start of the school year, each Middle School student (grades 6-8) becomes a Family Group leader, assigned three or four younger students to work with and mentor. For example, an eighth grader will lead a Family Group consisting of a fifth grader, a third grader, and a kindergartener.
Throughout the year, Family Groups get together – often within a larger group of teachers and students called a Family Circle – to have lunch together, attend assemblies together, and to work and play together on school-wide activities.
