Civil Gideon

Today attorney Catherine Carr, former director of Community Legal Services, met with our 8th graders in our Monthly Constitutional series of discussions.  She spoke about the need for legal assistance in civil cases and helped students understand how such issues as evictions and child custody problems are especially difficult for underserved populations in our city.

We - especially 8th grade math teacher Ethan Tannen, who happens to be Catherine's son - were so pleased to have Catherine back at TPS to talk about "civil Gideon."
