Chess Champs!

The TPS Chess Tigers competed in Nashville, Tennessee in this past weekend's Supernationals, which combines the Elementary, Junior High and High School Nationals, is held every four years. 

And, WOW, did they do well! Two TPS teams came in first place in the nation. Only THREE TEAMS in the entire country were the champions of TWO DIVISIONS: TPS, Barringer Elementary (NC), and IS 318 from Brooklyn (of "Brooklyn Castle" fame).

Here are the results.

K5 Under 900 Section: CO-CHAMPIONS!!! We tied with two other teams for 1st place, out of 74 teams and 521 players!

Important to note: Jamieson Wade '15, currently a sophomore at Springside Chestnut Hill, WON 1st place individual in the K12 U1600 division!

We had 18 players in 4 sections. A record number of TPS participants!
