In kindergarten, students started their week with a scientist visit. Kaitlyn from the Academy of Natural Sciences not only brought along worms and a rabbit – the subjects of our research this fall - but she also answered a lot of our research questions.
Later in the week we reviewed all of the questions we had posed about worms and rabbits from the beginning of our study, and we were able to answer all of them! Our very proud researchers then wrote and drew pictures of all they learned. One student declared, “Thanks for teaching me how to research anything! It will make me a better scientist!”
Both kindergarten classes discussed how important it is take care of the environment in order to help worms, rabbits, and all other creatures. During our weekly trip to The Schuylkill Center we discussed specifics of how to care for and protect nature.
