All-School Weekly Note

This is the final Weekly Note of the 2014-2015 school year!
Thank you for your loyal readership!

Classroom Notes: Most classrooms sent their final notes last week; a few may send a note in the next day or two.

Tonight - Part I of Graduation: Teacher presentations begin promptly in The Garage at 6:45pm. All graduating 8th graders should arrive at 6:30pm.

Last Day of School Information: All students participate in tomorrow's 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony. Please make sure your child arrives at school on time. The ceremony begins at 9am; the gym doors open for guests at 8:30a.m. Graduating 8th graders need to report to the Multipurpose Room no later than 8:30am; please call the school if there is a delay. Graduation will end shortly after 11am; buses will depart at 11:30am. The school buildings will be closing at 11:30am. Please pick your child up promptly. All changes of dismissal for Friday should have been sent in by 1pm today. Detailed dismissal information was sent to families in an email yesterday afternoon.

Artist's Alley: Bhavisha Patel is a neighbor of TPS. Her paintings will be up in the artist's alley through the summer. Her warm and appealing paintings about her time in Kenya have given our hallway a beautiful glow. Her images of wild elephants and landscapes in bright, almost powdery colors evoke sunlight and heat. Stop by today at 3:30pm to meet the artist.

Bhavisha has generously offered to fund the purchase of a gallery hanging system with the sale of the painting below, of a lone bull elephant. The bidding for the painting will start $250.00, beginning on Friday, June 5th and ending on Friday, June 12th at 9pm. Please email your bid to Catherine Bogart-Rome at [email protected]. Catherine will notify you if you are outbid or if you are the highest bidder. No bids will accepted after the close of bidding.

It's Rerun Season: Have you noticed 7th graders scurrying around audio and video equipment at school recitals, plays, and other performances? Find out who they are by reading this blog entry by Thomas Flanagan, our long-time After School Music Program coordinator and guitar teacher.
