Primary D's recent trip to the Italian Market was a wonderful learning experience. Wednesday was the perfect day to stroll the market and visit a few shops. The children enjoyed talking to shop owners, taking pictures, and learning about the history of the market. They were also interested to learn how the market has changed over time. It was quite a treat to get samples from Anthony’s Chocolate House, DiBruno Brothers, and The Tortillaria.
The balls and ramps explorations this week in Primary D have been very exciting! The children have enjoyed building different structures to get their balls to move in a variety of ways. Some children wanted to make the balls roll faster, others set out to make them go farther, while others attempted to create an elaborate structure and experiment with how to make a ball move through it. They used boards, pieces of cardboard, blocks, tubes, tape and other materials from our classroom to build structures and test their ideas.
