It was a short but busy week! On Wednesday afternoon, JU-C students saw the 8th grade’s production of Julius Caesar, and this morning we saw A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Be sure to ask your child about highlights from these plays!
Students began presenting their China research and Tao Te Ching projects to each other yesterday. After seeing and discussing one, students had a better understanding of what makes a presentation successful, and they are busy adding to and revising what they want to present. We will continue presentations over the coming weeks, with the plan to be finished with them by spring break.
This week’s community meeting focused on gender and whether someone’s assigned sex matches their internal sense of what gender they are. We watched a video that students about Jazz Jennings, a transgender teen.
This afternoon we are looking forward to the faculty vs 8th grade basketball game, but in the meantime we are excited about going outside for lunch and recess on such a beautiful day! We hope you get a chance to enjoy the weather tomorrow (before it shifts back to more typical February weather for a few days)!
