It was a beautiful day at The Schuylkill Center! Please ask your child about the birds we discussed today and why bluebirds are a threatened species. Additionally, make sure your child dresses appropriately on Thursdays for being outside in the woods; some students seem to be uncomfortable sitting on the ground or walking in grasses or leaves. We go every week unless there are storms or unless it will be too cold for our students to be able to do their work.
The rest of our week was a short but typical week. We read more about the Monkey King, we had word study, math, Spanish, Mandarin, and specials. We watched a video of a giraffe giving birth and talked this morning about Lyme disease. Ask your child what stands out to them about the week.
Tomorrow the teachers are meeting. We hope that you have a wonderful weekend! See you on Monday.
