6th Grade Weekly Note

Dear Families,

It was wonderful to be with those of you who made it to Back-to-School Night.  We look forward to seeing you again at conferences.

This week in 6th grade, your student used evidence to support inferences.  In LA we worked on using quotes from text as evidence. At the Schuylkill Center students extracted soil cores from various "mini-biomes." They used observations to support their ideas about why the soil are different.

Questions to ask your 6th grader:

  • Who would win, zombies or vampires?  What does this have to do with language arts?
  • What is the differences and similarities between your soils cores at SCEE?
  • What is a bead ceremony?
  • What is the 4-8th grade social contract?

Enjoy the three-day weekend. See you on Tuesday.
