Dear Primary B Families,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at Back-to-School Night on Wednesday evening. We enjoyed sharing how we spend our time in Primary B. We hope you now have a clearer view of how your children spend their days, as well as how much social and academic growth your child will make during these two years in the Primary Unit.
Even though it was a short week, Primary B students were busy. Our weekly visit to The Schuylkill Center included meeting with an educator who helped us explore air, temperature, and clouds. We also traveled to Shelly Ridge, our school's former country classroom, with our family groups. Each family group participated in rotations of activities, which included, art, music, and games.
This week we also carved out some time to learn about taking “sneak peeks” into books and thinking about our predictions as we read. We also had an in-class science exploration involving compressing air to create air pressure. All in all, it was another week packed with learning and opportunities for growth!
This week, ask me…
- how to take a sneak peek into a book.
- about our school trip to Shelly Ridge and The Schuylkill Center activities with the educator.
- about my small moments writing.
Enjoy the long weekend, and we will see you Tuesday! (There is no school on Friday, October 7, or Monday, October 10.)
