Happy Friday, Primary C Families,
This week’s summer-like weather energized our students as we continued working on our theme study. We are all so excited to share the work students have been doing over the past few months. Our Learning Celebration is next Friday, March 18. We’ll begin in the Garage with a chorus performance and then meet back in Primary C for our Learning Celebration. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to make it, and we’ll partner your child with another visitor. You and your child can decide whether he or she will leave with you after the celebration or stay with us through dismissal time at 3:00pm.
On Wednesday, March 23, we are heading to City Hall to take a tour and learn a little about the history of City Hall, as well as about the hard work that happens there to help the citizens of Philadelphia. We would love to have a parent chaperone to come along. Our bus will leave the school at 10:00am and return by 1:45pm. If you’d like to join us, please email soon.
Today, we are sending home speech and language screening consent forms for all first graders. Screenings are optional and will happen during the month of April, after we've returned from spring break. Please sign the form and send it back to school by Friday, March 25.
Here are some questions to ask your child this weekend:
- In first grade math: What is counting off of the decade? Give an example.
- In second grade math: What are some ways you can describe a yard? How many inches? How many feet?
- How is your project work going?
- How did you feel about the ending of The Cricket in Times Square?
Enjoy the your weekend,
Kaitlin and Jennifer
