Dear Primary C Families,
We are still a-twitter from our learning celebration yesterday. Thank you so much for joining us at the Schuylkill Center. The kids were so proud to show off our country classroom and get a chance to run, play, and picnic together. We are especially thankful to the center for putting on such a great presentation. Can you believe that talking crow? This bird study has been such a rich experience, made even more special by bird-watching in our country classroom and hatching chicks in Primary C this past week.
Speaking of celebrations, next week in Spanish children will participate in the annual “mercado” activity as a way to practice their vocabulary and conversation skills. Parent volunteers are invited to help out. Please see this flier for more information: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_YdxCuIQ8YoSHo1bXk4M1hyVkE/view.
Although we have already had our Learning Celebration, we have two more weeks of outdoor classroom trips planned! Next Wednesday, June 1st, we will return to the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinnicum. On Wednesday, June 8th, we have our final trip to the Schuylkill Center for this school year. Thanks in advance for remembering to pack a full water bottle for your child on these days. Even though the days are getting warmer, we still encourage children to wear long sleeves and long pants for tick protection.
Enjoy the long weekend,
Kaitlin and Jennifer
