Support TPS

The Philadelphia School has benefitted from the generous donations of our community's time, talent, and treasure for 50 years. There are many ways that every member of our community can support The Philadelphia School.

The TPS Fund

Beyond tuition, which has never fully covered the cost of a TPS education, The TPS fund is the most important source of annual financial support. Gifts to The TPS Fund may be allocated toward Tuition-Assistance, Faculty and Staff Professional Development, Student Life Programs, Ensuring Progressive Curricula, Arts and Athletic Programs, or wherever funds are needed most.

Pennsylvania Tax Credits

Did you know you can earn tax credits while broadening TPS’s ability to offer tuition-assistance to families-in-need? Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs are unique opportunities for businesses and individuals who pay state taxes to reduce their tax liability by contributing to TPS and other registered scholarship organizations. Generated tax credits can range from 75% to 90% of the gift amount.

Planned Giving

Planned Gifts, such as a bequest, insurance policy or retirement plan, are a meaningful way to support TPS while obtaining financial benefits for you and your family. These gifts may provide the opportunity to minimize income and estate taxes, reduce capital gains taxes, and more effectively distribute estate assets, while strengthening TPS’s ability to offer the progressive education you value.
