Dear 3A Parents,
Thanks very much to those of you who were able to join us last night for Back-to-School Night. We hope you left with a better understanding of your child’s day-to-day school experience and of our plans for the year. For those of you who missed the evening, we are sending home some handouts: “The Eight Year Old and Nine Year Old in the Classroom,” excerpts from Yardsticks by Chip Wood, and a double-sided sheet that will help you encourage your child to develop a growth mindset. Please don’t hesitate to email us with questions.
We have still not received conference sign-ups from some of you. Please go to http://doodle.com/poll/bkxwex76r9eugbvg and choose a time. If you are absolutely unable to make any of the times, let us know and we will do our best to find a time to meet with you.
This weekend, ask your child about
- the math games, Carrot Grab and Rabbit Tracks;
- the habitus exhibit by Ann Hamilton;
- our science investigation, Comparing Seeds in Fruits;
- Shelly Ridge Day activities (art in the woods, singing, and games on the field).
Have a lovely weekend!
Miriam and Josh
