Dear 3A Parents,
We had an exciting last day before break, complete with Family Circles, Book Buddies, and an a capella concert by the Dartmouth Rockappellas!
Please make sure to take a look at the information in the packet we sent home yesterday about the Immigrant Ancestor Project. The project is due on January 17 and will require help from parents and/or other adults. The children had an opportunity to ask questions about the project, but if you have any of your own, please let us know.
We recently introduced the class to IXL, an online math practice program. They can access it through Student Central. They also tried out some of the coding activities on the Junior Unit page of Student Central. IXL and coding activities are great ways for children to build skills at home and have fun at the same time!
This weekend ask your child about:
- The Walking Purchase;
- Rounding and the game Round Ball Tens;
- The difference between character traits and feelings;
- Our lesson with Alicia Parks, HSP educator, who taught us about how the map of Philadelphia changed from 1762 to 1857.
Have a fun and restful holiday season and a happy new year!
Miriam and Josh
