3B Weekly Note

Dear 3B Families,

We have had a wonderful start to the new school year! The students have started new projects and have even finished a few that will be on display next week. They have become comfortable with the classroom and many of our routines. The students are also forging new friendships, reuniting with old buddies, and showing great kindness and respect for one another! Everything we love to see in third grade.

Each week we will write a Weekly Note that will highlight something that happened within our week. Along with this note we will send conversation starters called "Ask Me." Please read through the "ask me" section with your child and discuss all that we have been focusing on throughout the week.

The students are eager to start homework and have been asking, “When are we getting homework? REAL homework!” The only assignment your child has, for now, is to read for 30 minutes each night. This can be independent reading or partner reading. We will explain to the students the reading log and the weekly math homework next week.

We look forward to meeting with all of you during our ‘Get to Know You Conferences.’ If you have yet to sign up please remember that it is one family per time slot.
