At Camp TPS, summer in the city comes alive through hands-on exploration, creativity, and curiosity. Rooted in the progressive educational approach of The Philadelphia School, 35 programs invite campers to discover their interests, stretch their skills, and build meaningful connections. From daily adventures around the city to a wide range of enrichment camps that dive deep into exciting subjects and activities, every child can find a place to grow, play, and thrive. Whether biking through Philadelphia, exploring art and storytelling, or trying out a new sport, campers experience a summer filled with choice, challenge, and fun.

City Country Day Camps

City Country Day Camp is offered to students currently in preschool through grade 5. Our camp encourages children to broaden their horizons and enjoy the freedom to dabble daringly. Campers will explore Philadelphia, work in the TPS garden, play in our Center City classrooms, and enjoy a community that celebrates and teaches kind, creative, and healthy living.

Enrichment Camps

With more than 30 Enrichment Camps to choose from, everyone can discover individualized programming to bring excitement to their summer days! For those who love camping in the great outdoors, Firekeepers will be just the thing, while those who are drawn to high endurance sports will find our All Star Sports or Ultimate Frisbee camps ideal. Our much anticipated Clay & Cooking program is back, and much, much more!

Registration for many camps closed on April 6th. Select camps will remain open until filled. See registration page for selection.

Camp TPS will be closed on June 19th in observance of Juneteenth and on July 3rd in observance of Independence Day.

Summer Programming Scholarship Opportunity

Camp TPS is proud to participate in the Youth Access to Opportunities Grant (YAOG), funded by Philadelphia City Council and championed by Councilmember Dr. Anthony Phillips. This scholarship is designed to help Philadelphia families connect their children to meaningful experiences. Through a partnership with Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP), eligible families can apply for scholarship support to offset the cost of participating in camp programs.

We are thrilled to announce that Steve & Kate's Camp will be hosting summer camp at TPS from August 3rd-September 4th. We have hosted Steve & Kates at TPS before and we're excited to welcome them back for a month of summer fun!

Since 1980, Steve & Kate’s has put kids in charge of their own learning experience, allowing campers to choose from a variety of activities in real-time. Activities include sewing, stop-motion animation, coding & gaming, sports & recreation, maker crafts, baking, and more. Campers will also enjoy lunch each day. Students ages 5-12 are welcome to explore new interests, hobbies, and a whole lot of fun!

And there’s plenty of perks for adults too. Families can register for a day, the entire month, or anything in between. There’s no weekly sessions or reservations required. Plus, they'll automatically refund any unused passes at the end of the session.

Learn More & Register!

Note that Steve & Kate's is managed independently of Camp TPS. Any questions about offerings should be directed to them. Additionally, the Camp TPS registration deadline does not apply to Steve & Kate's Camp.
